Interact
Interact is Rotary’s programme for secondary school students. Interact clubs give young people the chance to take on real projects in their communities, develop leadership skills, and connect with peers across Ireland and around the world.
How Interact works
Each Interact club is sponsored by a local Rotary club, which provides mentoring and support. But the clubs are student-led — members choose their own projects, plan their own activities, and run their own meetings.
Every Interact club carries out at least two projects each year: one that serves their local community and one that promotes international understanding.
What Interactors do
Community projects — Interact members have organised food drives, environmental clean-ups, mental health awareness campaigns, school supply collections, and visits to care homes.
International understanding — Through connections with Interact and Rotaract clubs in other countries, members gain a global perspective and learn about cultures and challenges beyond Ireland.
Leadership and life skills — Running projects builds teamwork, communication, organisation, and confidence — skills that benefit students in school, university, and beyond.
