District Leadership
The volunteers leading Rotary District 1160 across the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland — elected, voluntary, and accountable to the clubs they serve.
Volunteers, all the way down
Like every Rotary district, District 1160 is run by Rotarians for Rotarians. The District Governor and the leadership team are unpaid volunteers, elected from the membership and serving fixed terms. Their job is to support the 66 clubs across Ireland — with training, coordination, and a voice for District 1160 within Rotary GB&I and Rotary International.
The District team includes the District Governor, an Assistant Governor for each of the seven Rotary zones across the island, and a network of committee chairs covering Foundation, Membership, Public Image, Youth Service, International Service, and more.
Club members lead the work. The District team makes sure the work is connected — across clubs, across the island, and into the wider Rotary world.
