Recognition

The Foundation honours the people and clubs whose generosity makes its work possible — from a first $100 sustaining gift to the Arch Klumph Society's perpetual donors.

Why recognition matters

Every gift counted, every donor honoured

Foundation recognition is structured to honour both individual donors and the clubs they belong to. Recognition is cumulative — your gifts to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, the Disaster Response Fund, and approved global grants all build toward higher recognition levels.

Individual recognition

For people who give

Sustaining Member

$100/year to the Annual Fund. A sustaining-member sticker celebrates ongoing support, and the gift counts toward Paul Harris Fellow.

Paul Harris Fellow

$1,000 cumulatively to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, the Disaster Response Fund, or approved global grants. Recognition: certificate and pin.

Multiple Paul Harris Fellow

Each subsequent $1,000 milestone earns a pin set with sapphires (+1 to +5) and rubies (+6 to +8).

Paul Harris Society

$1,000 each Rotary year to Annual Fund-SHARE, World Fund, areas of focus, PolioPlus, the Disaster Response Fund, or approved global grants. Chevron pin and certificate.

Major Donor

Reaching $10,000 cumulatively

Major Donors are individuals or couples whose combined giving has reached $10,000. This level can only be achieved through personal contributions — recognition points do not count.

Level Cumulative giving
Level 1 $10,000 to $24,999
Level 2 $25,000 to $49,999
Level 3 $50,000 to $99,999
Level 4 $100,000 to $249,999
Arch Klumph Society

The Arch Klumph Society honours individuals or couples whose personal giving has reached $250,000. Members are featured in the Arch Klumph Gallery on the 17th floor of Rotary International World Headquarters in Evanston.

Legacy Society

For documented future gifts of $1 million or more. Listed in Rotary’s annual report, with invitations to exclusive Foundation events worldwide.

Club recognition

Banners earned, year on year

Clubs earn annual banners through Foundation giving. The Club Foundation Banner Report tracks progress in real time and the district governor receives banners to award after the Rotary year ends on 30 June.

  • Every Rotarian, Every Year Club — $100 per-capita Annual Fund giving, with every member personally contributing at least $25 to the Annual Fund.
  • 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club — every dues-paying member is a Paul Harris Fellow at the time the district governor requests recognition.
  • 100% Paul Harris Society Club — every member contributes at least $1,000 during the year to qualifying funds.
  • Top Three Per Capita in Annual Fund Giving — the three highest-giving clubs in each district (minimum $50 per-capita).
