What a Rotary club is like

A pattern with infinite local variations

Most Rotary clubs in Ireland meet weekly — typically over breakfast, lunch, or dinner, with some now hybrid or online. Meetings usually run an hour and combine fellowship, a guest speaker or club business, and updates on projects and events.

Beyond the weekly meeting, members get involved at whatever level suits them — service committees, fundraising events, international projects, or supporting young people through Rotaract, Interact, and youth-leadership programmes. The pattern is the same in every club. The character is uniquely local.

Visiting a club

Most clubs welcome guests at every meeting. If you’re thinking about joining, the best first step is to attend a meeting as a visitor — see the people, hear the speaker, ask questions afterwards. No commitment, no pressure. Reach out to the club directly via its page above, or use our enquiry form and we’ll connect you.
